I'm mostly interested, at least nowadays, on the philosophical aspects of biosemiotics and their consequences for general semiotics. If we define general semiotics along the same lines started by Eco when he argues about its relation to the philosophy of language, in the expansion I'm committed to we can extend the basis of sign action to a more general biological characterization. But getting to that is still a lot of philosophical tinkering!
